West Side Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc. is a private non-profit corporation dedicated
to the preservation and revitalization of Buffalo's West Side Neighborhoods.

Established in 1980, West Side NHS, Inc. is a partnership of area residents, business persons,
and government officials involved in identifying and solving neighborhood problems.

West Side Neighborhood Housing Services, provides safe and affordable housing for
low to moderate income families.


Services Provided by WSNHS:
  • Home Improvement Rehab-Loan Program
    The purpose of the Home Owner Occupied Rehab Program is to revitalize & strengthen the West Side of Buffalo through the moderate rehabilitation of homes.

  • Down Payment & Closing Cost Assistance
    The Closing Cost Assistance Program is a low interest rate loan that can assist first time home buyers with the funding of reasonable closing cost normally associated with the purchase of a home.

  • Home Ownership Education Classes
    This program educates first time home buyers about the homebuying process.

  • Minor Home Repair
    This program is designed for low-income seniors or the disabled of the West Side of Buffalo who are unable to perform minor home repairs around the home by themselves.

  • Acquisition/Rehab Program
    The Acquisition/Rehab Program provides eligible clients the opportunity to purchase a rehabbed home owned by WSNHS at an affordable price.

  • Foreclosure Prevention Program

  • Special Home Ownership Program
    SHOP Buffalo is an innovative approach to affordable lending that will assist potential homebuyers with purchasing a home within the City of Buffalo.
