West Side NHS seeks Community Impact Measurement Surveyors
Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 2:45PM West Side NHS is looking for two to four individuals to survey the University Heights neighborhood and collect baseline data for our Community Impact Measurement surveys. Surveyors will work in pairs to collect physical observations of a 10-block area, and will conduct door-to-door community perception surveys together. Surveyors will also enter data into the SuccessMeasures data system as it is gathered.
Community Impact Surveyor (University Heights, Buffalo NY)
Length of Commitment: 1 month, 10-20 hours per week.
Hours are flexible and can work around your schedule.
Dates Needed: July 8- August 23, 2013
Location: Surveys will be conducted in a 10-block residential area near the University at Buffalo's South Campus. Training and data entry will be conducted at Black Rock-Riverside NHS at 203 Military Road in Buffalo, NY.
Age Requirement: 18 +
Surveyors will:
- Work in pairs to conduct door-to-door resident perception surveys in a 10-block residential area near the University at Buffalo's south campus.
- Work in pairs to collect physical observations of blocks, homes, and vacant properties in the same 10-block residential area.
- Enter data from surveys into the Success Measures data system.
Desired Qualifications: Applicants should be interested in community development issues, possess good communication skills, be organized and enjoy working with the public. Comfort with conducting door-to-door surveys is necessary. A background in urban planning, community organizing or community development is preferred.
Training Provided: Surveyors will attend an orientation meeting and will receive training on how to conduct surveys and survey content and enter data into the SuccessMeasures Data System.
